Self care tips for the winter
Sep 16, 2024I want to sincerely wish you a wonderful holiday season, whatever it is you celebrate! A few self-care tips during this time:
- Take some time for QUIET each day, whether it be sitting in silence, going for a walk, reading, meditating or doing something you enjoy like crafting.
- Listen to your body - do you need more movement? A half day of fasting? A massage? Your body is constantly communicating with you - you just need to listen.
- Stay warm and cozy! Enjoy warm soups and stews, sip on some nice herbal tea, tuck in with a blanket and relax! Down time is so important during this busy holiday season, which can be vata aggravating on top of vata season!
- Get outside! You know what they say in Scandinavia - there's no bad weather - just bad dressing! Bundle up and get outside - it does your body and soul a whole lot of good to get outside and immerse yourself in nature.
